I have two Khaki Campbell duck eggs in a DIY incubator. Last night Egg 1 started external pipping. This morning it had been very active, cheeping, wiggling around, and it had cracked a hole about the size of a quarter in it's shell. About 30 minutes ago it just stopped moving. Did it just die? Has anyone ever had their duckling take a very still rest at the stage before hatching fully?
