Last night we noticed that out broody hen had an infestation of red mites! I cant find anything to treat her with in our area so we got as many off as possible and popped the eggs in the incubator. Some are further along than others but one in particular is definitely moving around and rolling himself from side to side. The shell is cracked and off on one end but the membrane has been intact for almost 24 hours. I candled him about a week ago and guessed the hatch date to be around Friday. Is it normal for him to break the shell and not the membrane or is something wrong? Secondly, the Mite meds wont be hare for 3-4 days. Should I give the rest of the eggs back to momma?
