I was wondering if any brinsea OCt 20 owners could answer a question for me... The directions says to take the black divider bars out before lockdown and position the eggs the best way they fit for hatch... Well there is not enough room to lay all the eggs on there sides... More eggs fit in standing up then on there sides... So how should I positions the eggs? Or should I just leave the divider bars in place and keep all the eggs in the standing position??? Thanks

I wouldn't leave the divider bars in. I had 3 eggs that were3-5 days behind the others in lockdown, so I left them in, but left the divider up in the back of the incubator to keep them from being soccer balls. Well, the first to hatch got herself over the divider & couldn't get out. SO out came the divider.
I had 16 eggs in there. How many do you have?

I have some bantam and medium eggs and they fit perfect side by side with no room for another egg... So should I just balance them up against eachother in a standing position to hatch then??? That is the only way they would all fit? I thought I heard you don't want your eggs touching durring hatch? What should I do?

mine sit vertical, pointy end down, in two cut up egg cartons... (to allow passage of air and humidity from the wells below) (I did have to help two out)

There isn't a lot of room but every egg in there last time hatched. talk about crowded
