I am a teacher and we are hatching in egg cartons this year to prevent the soccer game that happens once a few chicks hatch. Will the eggs still rock around in the egg carton? The kids always think that is so funny to see the egg rock back and forth.

Thx!

I have used egg cartons before. I waited until day 18 before putting them into the carton. Yes, they still rock and roll. The chicks also manage to get themselves out onto the floor of the incubator. Hope this helps.

Nope they don't

but they are kept safe from "chicken ball" I felt much better using the cartons.

i have gone back and forth several times over the last 3 years and i have found that i get about 5% better hatches with them rolling around... so i quit doing it...
