Because he is zipping he is most Likely ready to hatchThis egg started pipping yesterday and now a part of its foot is sticking out. Idk whats wrong maybe he cant break through? Is this normal or should i do something to help?View attachment 3421307
Thank you so much! I got the baby out but some of the yolk hasn't absorbed completelyBecause he is zipping he is most Likely ready to hatch
If he is a bit stuck yoy can finish his zip and pull the cap back and let him finish pushing out
If he still can’t push out you may have to help a little more
If the yolk is just little I would get a smell bowl or cup and put dry paper towel down then place baby in itThank you so much! I got the baby out but some of the yolk hasn't absorbed completelyand I had to assist another one that stopped zipping. Now I have one that pipped that I think I may have to help as well, and another that hasn't pipped at all. This hatch has been a nightmare
thank you for your quick reply!
I waited more than 24 hours after it pippedHow long after the eggs pipped are you stepping in to assist hatching?
That’s not very much but you don’t want the others to peck it
Thank you I will do this now! This has been so stressful! I really appreciate your help! That’s not very much but you don’t want the others to peck it
So go the small bowl or cup with the dry paper towel
Some put antibiotic cream on it without pain relief
I myself have not ever done this as I never had one dry out
We all get ourselves a stressful batchThank you I will do this now! This has been so stressful! I really appreciate your help!
