hatching mixed chicken eggs????

I have a banty rooster and would like to in the future breed him to barred rock, is that possible? and will he chicks be small like the dad or large like the mom? the idea of having a supply of chicks for processing for meat sound like a better idea then spending $2 per chick and shipping costs and only beable to do it once a season.

it is possible for a bantam roo to mate successfully with a LF hen. my bantam cochin has been able to with my LF light brahma hens. the chicks would probably be an in-between size if i tried to hatch them out. (brahma roos can average about 10-12lbs full grown!)
