Hatching my first chicks in a incubator

Thank you I will lower the heat a bit more. So having the heat at 100.76 down to 100.04 is where it was. Please what do you suggest as a safe high and lowest temp would be? Also my humidity stayed at 50% to 55% until the last three days where I’m aiming it to stay between 70% to 75%. Is this accurate as well?
All I know is I’m going to hug each of my hens outside... they have my kudos that’s for sure!!

Hatching at day 20 means temperature is too high. For your next hatch you might want to lower it a little bit.

For myself I like to have them hatch out a day early so they are done hatching by day 21, it allows for better scheduling.

I usually set mine at 99.6 degrees Fahrenheit. 100 is fine but I'm not to fond of it going above that. This does depend on your incubator though, you'll have to "fine tune" it based on your results. For example if you lowered it a little bit for the next hatch and they hatch out early, lower it a tiny little bit for the next one, if they hatch too late, raise it a little for the next hatch. Pretty soon you'll get it just right.:)

Shots for coccidiosis, merrick the main shots that are given when you purchase them from Strombergs or Mcmurray. When my hens hatch their own, I have not had any of them get sick. Just wondering if this really has to be done.
I have never worried about that. I think the reason hatcheries do it is because they have to ship them all over the place and they never know what they'll meet up with.

I never vaccinate my incubated chicks...thought about it the first time but for the Marek's it comes in a 2000 dose bottle at the grand price of $80 while...after you mix the solution, is only good for an hour. After those chicks didn't due a sudden death, I decided it was unnecessary

Congrats on your successful hatch:love:jumpy:love:jumpy

Good morning everyone I have a chick That has a splayed out leg it’s hard for her to walk and the right leg is fine. Has anyone had this and how do I help it? I don’t want to euthanize the chick
