Hatching my first chicks in a incubator

I am not sure what link or thread to direct you to. But, I frequently see where someone has done a splint of some kind. Usually for just a day or two.

Use a band-aid to "hobble" it's legs about half an inch apart. The sooner the better. Had super luck with this, it's works in several hours and in my experience it works everytime.

You'll want to make the sticky part of the band-aid less sticky by sticking it to your finger several times.

I used the splint and had it on for 3 days I then took it off and it hasn’t worked
Is there something else I can do or just keep the splint on longer?

This is what we found on a splint. Her leg doesn’t set down.. it’s not twisted but I hope the chick isn’t in pain.

How long did this chick have the splits before you put a splint on?

I really doubt it'll do any good to continue with the splint. Usually it will be corrected in less than a day. If a chick can get around to feed and water, they'll usually adapt to their circumstances.

I put the splint on hours after it hatched. The chick gets around pretty good for its handicap. I guess it will be a super spoiled baby.. nothing wrong with that
