*Hatching Now!* Air cell in wrong place

They can take 24- 48 hours to hatch after they have pipped so you may be in for a long wait. Once they have pipped the shell- they do rest a while to absorb the yolk and blood from the veins before they are ready to hatch - Once they start unzipping it usually doesnt take that much longer. If I ever open the incubaotr during lockdown- I spray the eggs with a fine mist of water covering the whole bottom of the bator- not just the eggs. It helps get humidity up quicker again when you close it, as it is the surface area of water in there that effects the humidity. The more surface area- they higher it will go. Once the mist helps to increase it temporarily- it will stabilize again.

I'm new to this too. I have about 15 eggs of Japs at random stages, no idea when or if they hatch.
Got a bunch of bantam eggs from a person here, those are due the 25th. Picked up 3 Jap eggs a day later, those are due the 26th.
^.^

Oh this is hard, I don't want to go to bed and miss it. There are 3 now with pips and they cheep pretty loud to each other. Maybe they will be hatched in the morning so I can stop worrying. I'm going to spray inside the incubator in a bit when I have to open it to turn the duck eggs.

I just checked on them to find one just about finished zipping and got to watch him push out. Now he is rolling around pushing the other eggs around. What happens if he tips an egg with a pip on it over? I've still only have 3 with pips, well one hatched so two wih pips. This is exciting!

Congratulations on the new arrival. I guess its a little late now- they are probably all hatched by now but Dont worry too much about the eggs getting rolled around- its something we all have happen, not much you can do about it- but it doesnt stop them hatching.
