Hatching Now - Membrane Question

Is the membrane supposed to be separated from teh shell when the chick pips? The chick pipped the shell but not the membrane. Is this ok? Humidity has stayed 60-70%.

When the chick hatches it takes a long time to fully emerge, It is hard not to get excited and want to help it will some times take a day in a half to get out. It is amazing how long it takes! It should be fine as long as you see continual movement and peeping, Its so fun to be the new mommy of a little chick. congradulations !

Thank you. I had no idea the shell and the membrane would be separated at this point. I had to make myself come back to work so I wouldn't "get involved" in the process.
