What is better hatching eggs or incubating, and when does a hen usually go broody?

That's the problem, you never know when a hen is going to go broody.

Sorry I ment bying day old chicks or letting my hen hatch eggs.

If you have a broody hen, I'd let her hatch the eggs. It costs practically nothing and you won't have to worry so much about keeping them alive, since she'll take care of them.

start with day old chicks and learn what you can. then go to hatching eggs, but a old hen will do a great job but on her time and only a few birds. I just got my chicks 40 this morning from meyer my second year of raising birds and I learned alot my first year soon I'll try to hatch some eggs pura vida Matoe

On my pet chicken,it asked me if I want a marek vaccination,do the chicks need one?
