Hatching our first set of chicken eggs!

Yes, the chick will look horrible when hatched and you may think it's going to die. It's not. Hatching is hard work! It will rest quite a bit and will try to stand eventually. Leave it in the incubator until it's plenty dry and "running around". I usually leave chicks in the incubator for 24 hours minimum. Thanks for the pictures! You are doing great!

3rd just hatched it also has umbilical still and i see some blood on there incubator. I’m freaking out

My incubator is on Day 18 …. tomorrow we remove eggs from turners and go into full lock down...and PRAY for a hatch.

Seems to be fine! We have 6 now! The 6th just hatched and it has a lot of yolk stuck to it and it’s kinda stuck by that to the egg. We have 2 more eggs to go but they have no pips so hopefully they hatch.

Good luck! We have 6 of our 8 eggs hatch so far today is Day 21 so hopefully the others will hatch too! They were moving in their eggs up until day 20 but now i can’t tell because the other chicks are going crazy lol
