Hatching problems-1 chick out

I used a hovabator with an egg turner. I just used the thermometer that came with the incubator which I now think might have been a mistake, and a hygrometer from petsmart (don't remember the brand). The incubator and turner belong to my mom and she is going to try hatching some silkies soon I think, I'm gonna suggest she buy a nicer thermometer and we'll see if she has better luck!
