Hatching Q on mailed eggs - Ayam Cemani

I enjoyed reading this entire thread, and I hope your Ayam Cemani chicks are doing well. Seven or eight Ayam Cemani eggs are actually on the way to me right now, so I'm hoping for a decent hatch. Luckily, they're one state away and not across the country.

Thankyou, they are thriving at the moment.
I let me eggs rest 12 hrs before incubating when they arrived. All my problem birds (formed but not able to hatch) cane from the saddle air cells so keep an eye on any of those & good luck to you.

I don't know, she said she had a period of time that a birds or 2 would just die when it seemed totally healthy. She finally put 2 and 2 together that is was always after she DE the coop.

Good luck with your eggs! I would like to try them at some point too but I am going to get my incubation skills sharpened before I break the bank with those eggs!

Thanks! I won an auction for them over Ebay, so we'll see how it goes. Shipped eggs are a bit of a gamble, but I'm going to do what I can! If they seem a little rough when they get here, I imagine I will want to hatch them in an egg carton to help stabilize them. We'll see!

Read through the section on shipped eggs. Stuff like leave them sit out for 24 hours fat end up. Don't turn them for X number of days etc... I had 4 with detatched air cells on my curent batch. Two actually re-attached...two didn't and didn't progress. Good luck! Join the December hatch along
