Hi, I'm ordering 24 Coturnix Quail eggs in July. I don't have an incubator, but I have heat lamps and a heating pad. Any tips? Also, I'm new to poultry in general.

Welcome to the wonderful world of poultry!

You can make home-made incubators, but eggs tend to be delicate and need exact temperatures and humidity for weeks and weeks. You could probably make one using a heat light and a styrofoam box. Make sure that there is stable humidity.

There is some good information on home-made heaters on the internet. You could give those a try.

Best of luck!
