I have 9 chickens hatched in an R-Com 20 - (Top loader) 5 left to hatch that are making slow progress. Would you take the 9 out, so they quit rolling the eggs around. I haven't taken the shells out either because I didn't want to reduce the humidity. The nine that hatched have been hatching all day long. The last one hatched around two hours ago.

People here have all different opinions. I take the chicks out as soon as they are fluffy and walking around. I take out all the eggs that have hatched. If a chick is not ready to come out yet I'll leave him in there for a while and add him to the others when it's ready.

It won't hurt to leave them in there for a little bit, at least until their fluff is all dry. Their chirping just might encourage the slow hatchers.

Yes, i would wait until they are fluffy so they dont get a cold when you take them out. I would take out all the egg shells Quickly, they can be in the way of the rest that are hatching.
