Hatching question

Can someone tell me what causes a sticky hatch? High or low humidity? I have not had this problem before and just can not figure it out.

Both can cause chicks to get stuck, you kind of have to figure it out by checking your humidity. Usually, a wet-stuck chick will be very 'gummy' while a dry-stuck one will have the membrane dried to it.
