The owner of our amazing local feed store (Gecko Hardware in Dallas) has asked me for about 6 of our ducks eggs to hatch. I have been collecting the eggs off the nest each morning but it is so cold outside and our Runner has no interest in sitting on the egg once shes laid it! Are these eggs still ok or will the chilly air make them no good?

they will still be fine as long as they are not frozen.
store them in a cool place. in their side.
do not store longer than 6-7 days.

I generally store Call duck eggs for up to 14 days without a problem. I sanitize them in a glass of warm water with a few drops of Oxine added. Poop can also be lightly washed off with warm water (warmer than the egg so as not to flush bacteria into it) but do be careful not to wash off the bloom (slimy layer you will feel on the egg when it is wet).
