Good morning,

I have a few eggs that are in an incubator with little holes that they have broken through and begun the hatch process. The humidity is only 24%, is this bad, should I open the incubator and add more water?! I didn’t think they would hatch because it’s late for them and now I am worried for their survival!

Yes, you need to open it to add more water. That low of humidity would be equal to leaving the incubator open the whole time. Very very bad. To open it for five seconds and add water to fix it won't hurt anything. Your humidity should never drop below 65% during the hatch or you'll lose chicks. I aim for it to be around 70%.

How late are they? I would drape towels or blankets to trap the warmth and increase the humidity using warm water.

Did others hatch already?
