Hatching shipped eggs

Pics
So it's day 7 of my second attempt at hatching shipped goose eggs. Out of 6 eggs....1 had to be tossed to prevent a smelly catastrophe, 2 are questionable, and 3 are definitely developing! Healthy looking little beans (I can see movement in there) with lots of good veining. Day 10 will tell me if the 2 questionable ones are growing or need to be taken out.

Update: Day 6
2 Non fertile Bresse

2 Blood Ring Bresse

2 Questionable Bresse

18 with air cells and veining Bress

11 with air cells and veining Bantam Wyandotte GL

Total 29 viable to hatch 2 maybeys

Update: Day 10
17 viable Bresse 1 with air cell on side (will have to research)

3 duds: 1 non-fertile 2 Blood Ring

11 viable Bantam Wyandotte GL

Total 28 potential Chicks

AND The Scotch Tape Baby is still viable! Cool Huh! :fl :ya
OK Scotch tape baby didn't make it :( But out of the 24 shipped Canadian Bresse we got lucky 7 healthy chicks! From our own 11 Bantam Wyandotte Golden Lace we got 9:jumpy Good day on the homestead.

I just finished another hatch. I ordered 100 quail eggs from orchard hill poultry, I received 105 eggs none broken (amazing). At lockdown I candled them and had 11 infertile eggs. Of the 93 left over I hatched out 86 healthy birds...

4 of the 7 died fully developed in the shell because of me. I did a staggered hatch and opened the incubator twice (very quickly) while these eggs were in lockdown with several pipped. Thee eggs were pipped and they got "shrink wrapped" in the egg. I know because I assisted 6 more that were shrink wrapped but I caught them in time and zipped their shells for them. 5 out of the 6 I helped ended up making it. That will not happen again.....

Anyway 86 out of 93 fertile shipped eggs is still pretty decent for my 3rd hatch ever

My 3 developing goose eggs. Had to toss a second questionable egg (it left no room for questioning....I could smell it through the shell today). So I'm down to 4 eggs. Only 2 more days for the last one to either start showing development or get out of Dodge.
