Ok, so i am currently doing an experiment wiht eggs i got from walmart some are just a few weeks old and some are alot older. So if i have any luck it will be a miracle so, i did a homeade incubator in a drawer that stays about 99 degrees so its pretty solid and they have been in there 3 hours .ill keep everyone updated and when should i candle them?
I was wondering if any of you have bought Fertilized eggs from TJ's and put then under a broody hen??
I'm thinking of either doing that or get her a one-day old chick...
Thoughts?
Ok I got eggs from wholefoods the box said vital farms pasture raises organic so I email the company and asked if they had roosters the reply was " No,we do not keep roosters on our farms we buy pullet chickens from certified organic growers and we do not hatch our own chicks " sorry for asking I still but the eggs in for fun
Did you know that the chicks from white eggs most likely lay white eggs? I am not sure if both parents have to have the white ears or not but if you order white layers with the same breed rooster you will get the off sring that of that breed that does lay white eggs. When they are bigger and if they have white ears (around/on) the area that they will lay white eggs, all others will lay brown, I'm not sure about the Easter Egg layers
