Ok i have had some very bad luck last couple trys , i think it was bacterial killing them but near the end of incubation they seem to die on me. im wondering if turning down the temp a bit , because its at about 100F on a forced air ,but when their that size do you think they will creat extra heat moving about in the shell ? Im not sure just wondering , i realy want to be succesful on this hatch, also what should the humidity be? through incubation mine is about 28 - 40 a little higher on some days when i add more wate but what should it be at hatch time?

thanks everyone

I think that I've read that at hatch time the humidity should be 65%. I try to keep the temp. at 99.5* and the humidity at about 35% during incubation. I have a cabinet incubator with a fan. I have hatched one batch and got 16 chicks sitting in my living room right now. I used the dry incubation method. You can look it up on here. It makes sense to me and worked well too. Good luck with your hatch:)

The temp can be lower during lockdown. I kept my hatcher at about 97degrees last time & had a good hatch. Some references suggest that you should hatch at a lower temp.

Newby BUT..........Hatcher temp should be 100* MINIMUM - 101* better and humidity 65 - 70%. You don't want shrink wrapped chix!! Just lost an entire hatch!!

Sorry, but, no... hatcher temp can be lower.
NOT 100 degrees.
Temp for a forced air should not be 101 degrees - that's too high. (That's an ok temp for still air at the top-of-the-egg level.)
It's the humidity & air circulation that you want to increase at hatch time, not temperature.
