My 9 silkie eggs are due to hatch tomorrow. I'm really only expecting < 3 to make it. I candled on day 14 and most looked like they were stuck on day 8 (according to that great candling thred on BYC). I didn't candle on day 18. I was hoping to hear peeping or see pips by now, but no luck. I was affriad of temperature spiking up to 102+, so I've had the temperature set at about 97 with spikes at 99.8. I hope this means they will hatch late instead of not hatch at all. Please your cross your fingers and hope that I at least get one baby. By the way, I don't remember which BYC forum member wrote this, "If eggs weren't forgiving, chickens would be endangered," but thank you who ever came up with it. It makes me feel better.
