Hatching Turkey eggs under my chicken

Can I hatch turkey eggs under my chicken?

I have a chicken who just went broody an is sitting on a couple eggs. I don't want/needany more chickens right now. I have been hatching BR turkeys and wantt o contiune to hatch them. I justput 15in the incubator on sat. I now have another 10 that are ready to incubate,, but all my incubators are being used.

If you can, will they sit on them the entire 28 daysor are they programed to start getting antsy 22 days or so nothing hatches

It depends on the hen. Some will give up around 21 days and nothing happens. Others will keep on sitting. I had an araucana hatch wild eastern turkeys for me once. She did fine. I just made sure she got off each day to eat/drink/poop to keep her well nourished for the adventure. Good luck.

I've had it happen to me and it does depend on the breed of chicken

She is an Ameraucana. She went broody last year around the same time and was a very dedicated sitter. If I remember correctly I had to kick her off the nest at like day 25-26 because she had a couple eggs that still had not hatched ( they were bad).
