Hatching???...why don't we just buy chicks??

Dr. Seuss was my favorite author as a youngun'....many, many years ago. I'll have to read Horton Hatches an Egg again...I'm sure I read it to my daughter but that's been a lot of years too.

I am DEFINITELY getting an incubator and hatching next year. I can barely wait. I caught the bator-bug from all of you!

I have yet to use my incubator. I have three broodies going right now. They are all on my own eggs so if nothing hatches I lose nothing. I would love to get some rare eggs and put them in the bator but do not have the cashflow to make it feasible right now. I am thinking about thinning my flock actually.
