I just got 20 call duck eggs and they shipped from New York. Four of them have completely detached air sacs they are cycling all the way around the egg, so I did not cut those but the other ones the air sacs save the big end of the egg, but are slightly saddled, and the air sac moves within where it saddled but does not leave that spot ?Detached or saddled? Detached the air cells float all over the eggs. Saddled they go up the side of the egg. If saddled they should be fine. Just treat as a normal hatching egg once they are at lockdown. Place biggest part of air cell facing the top.
I will post a pic of my saddled air cell from the batch I have going now.
