How long is too long before giving up hope that our goose will hatch any of her eggs? She's a mutt, gander is a Buff Toulouse. It's been 32 days since she laid her last egg (we're fairly sure). She'd been sitting on them constantly with few minutes a day off to eat. No pipping. Eggs are too dark and full now to candle and see anything. How many more days should we leave them alone before giving up hope? TYIA for any wisdom ikr thoughts?

Have you been able to candle any of the eggs? Did you ever check any of the eggs for fertility by breaking them open to look for the bullseye?
If you get a chance at this point I'd try to candle the eggs and see if any are even developing.

Oh yes we candled them and we saw development at several stages including movement. Now they are full and too dark to see anything but the air sack. We calculated hatching to start yesterday and no dice. Today we did a quick floating test and definitely determined that the eggs are still viable. Just seems like they are way past due now to hatch. I think we're going to hold our breath and wait another week.
