hatching...

Never have tried it i move mine from the bator to the hatcher.. i have a hovabator with no turner i use and i also have a hatcher i built . i just lay them down all let nature take its course. i think that letting them move the other eggs around as they hatch helps them to hatch... (jmo)

I remove the rails so that the babies have more room to roll around and move. Less likely to get their feet stuck. Before putting the eggs back in, I put down that rubbery stuff, (I don't know what it is called, has tiny holes in it.) Gives the babies some traction after they are hatched.

Good luck Brian.

Oh, and are they Bobs?? Brian, you are in for some real action and fun!

I love it! It's washable too, so I have plenty then just throw them in the washing machine when they pile up.

I get it at the dollar store or Walmart. The cheapest rolls are 12" x 5 foot.

For my brooders, one 5 foot roll fits 2 brooders (biggest plastic totes I could find at Walmart). But I toss it when I'm done. I know it's washable, and it's better for the environment to recycle it, but it's $1...

NO? if your using them on an egg turner just unplug it. keep them on the rails. they wont bump each other, youll have a better hatch.
