Hatching

Hello

I am after a bit of advice as I have searched the internet but can't find anything. I currently have 4 hens just now - a blue haze, speckledy, copper black and columbine. I would love to hatch some chicks and was thinking about purchasing some fertile eggs and getting one of my hens to hatch them for me. Would any of my chickens be suitable for this?

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with those breeds. I think in America it's possible that we call them something else. Not all hens will go broody even when they are supposedly broody breeds. Hopefully someone in UK can give you an answer.
