Hate building this coop!

One month and all the angles are wrong. Wood doesn't match measurements are off and my feet hurt! When is the fun going to start?

That's funny and dare I say truthful admission about coop building!

Everyone's post always gushes about the wonderful time they had building. Well I built two and I must they were labor of love for the chickens. After they were done, I could step back and admire and wonder how was I able to do it? Forgetting the cussing and swearing while building them.

Somebody very wise told me~ measure twice...cut once! Just take your time so maybe you can enjoy it!

What you should do is work with a plan. Perhaps there are plans you can buy on line and then have the lumber cut to size at the lumber or home improvement store. Stick with basic sizes. 4', 6' etc. I mean a pattern.

You can do it.

Building a coop is bring my relationship up to (but not yet past) a breaking point. Harder than a long vacation! You are not alone...

I hated doing it too!
But now.... as time moves on...
I find myself forgetting the rediculous drugery...
and I still have the Coop!

I was pretty happy after I was done and the ordeal was over...

The one on the left was my neighbor's kids playhouse and STILL took days to finish off

I was just thinking today how the chicken chores have decreased dramatically finally. No more babies, no more hatching, no more coop building and planning and working/reworking my setup to perfection. It just works now and I love it!

It will happen!
