Hats off to Mc Murray!!

I ordered 25 RIR bantams from Murray McMurray hatchery, they were born Friday at 4:30 pm and arrived at our Central Post office yesterday!!! they are all healthy and running around, eating like there is no tomorrow, and drinking, I am so happy with them. I just lost 13 Red Leg Horns from another hatchery, so this was a breath of fresh air. I will post pictures soon!! Just wanted to say Thank you McMurray!!! the only thing that I would say, if you live close to a main sorting office, be ready to get your chicks a day or two early. They were to be shipped the week of the 11th of April and came yesterday, if they would of had to go to my local post office, I would not of gotten them until Monday.

Plus I got 26 RIR bantams, and 1 exotic chick!!

congratulations! ive heard good things about them but never ordered chicks off the internet as im just getting started raising chickens.

THat is good to hear! I ordered my first batch EVER from them a while ago, and they are suppossed to come around the 17th of May. I am so nervous!!

Oh that is wonderful to hear. My McMurray hatch date is May 31st so I'm sort of freaking out.

I've had very good luck with McMurray's also, healthy, nice chicks, all in great shape on arrival AND 100%! pullets of the 40-some ordered (except for the free exotic which was, of course, a rooster) but mine also arrived early - on a Sunday morning - and fortunately I had called McM to check on when they had been sent, and had contacted my local post office, who were GREAT, and called me early on Sunday am to let me know they were there and tell me where to come to pick them up. So I would advise you to check with McM to verify the actual hatch and ship date, and to give your local PO a head's up.
