Have 5 weeks old chicks. Can I add new chicks?

We have 5 chicks, 5 weeks old. Our coop is a couple weeks from being completed and will be 8X8. I would like to add another 3 chickens now that I see how large our coop will be. Can I purchase 3 more chicks, or pullets now and introduce them to the coop at the same time even if they will have been kept in different brooders/ boxes?

There is no way to know for sure how this will go. If you can get some that are about the same size, and introduce them when they have distractions such as lots of space, food, treats, hiding places, etc. it ma go just fine.
