my girls want to breed the chickens next spring for hens they have back blue an buff orp an comets.they have a black blue an orp roosters. is it still a pure orp if a black an buff breed an what do they come out like.an what about the comets if a orp an comet breed what is the out come.also we are getting a few more birds should i get black giants,buffs,rr,or red stars.any help please thankyou jim
 
Yes If you breed a Black orp to a Buff orp, the chicks will technically be pure Orpingtons, just mutty colored.

If
your Comets are the typical comets that are red with white tails, then breeding a black roo to them should give white birds probably with black spots ( its not splash though, its from the Dominant white in the comet hens, unless your black roo may be gold based then you may get some more gold colored chicks.
