have a question for the incubator experts

Can you hook up a second heating coil in a hova bator with a wafer thermostat? will I cause some electrical damage? My goal is to heat a larger area much faster. any advice
 
Will I put too much voltage through my wafer thermostat if I had two heating coils wired to it? The heating coils are from styrofoam incubators
 
are your heaters metal coils that are used in hova bators? Or are they a different style of heating element that require more wattage?

hova bator coils only draw 23.5 watts the wafer t-stats are good for

Complete 22 Amp for CABINET INCUBATOR. Includes surge guard. Adjustable between 75 and 120 degrees F. depending on room temperature.

a description from gqf . using ohms laaw to figure power at 47 watt and 115 volts the 2 heaters will draw less then a 1/2 amp the t-stat is rated for 22 power divided by voltage = amperage HTH

theoretically I would say 44, not 88.. according to the above..
however, you have to factor in fans, auto turners if you have them..

but getting back to reality, you can do the 2 heating elements without any problem or mathematical calculations.. It is still less than a 100W light bulb..

if your wafer t-stat is the same as what GQF advertise's it is capable of handling 22 amps your heaters are not quiet drawing .5 amps less then 1 amp if it were me I would wire the heaters in parallel as opposed to series wired in series the second heater would not receive full voltage ,in parallel it would.
