Hello!
Friends of my family have offered us a free adult pair of India blue peafowl and a pair of red golden pheasants. We are very excited because my oldest son really loves birds! Unfortunately, none of the building on our property would be suitable for adaption for the birds. We are going to construct a flight pen but since we are in Ohio we need to have shelter for the birds. Money is a real issue right now so we don't have a lot extra to put into a new shelter. Has anyone used a type of hoop house? If that wouldn't work, I would really appreciate any additional suggestions. Also, can the peafowl and pheasants live together? The family we are getting them from raise all the young together and I think some of the adults live together now but I wanted to be sure it is ok. We do not have any other types of fowl on the property. I would also appreciate any suggestions for getting started since we are very new to this. The only exposure I've had was a peacock my grandma had when I was growing up! lol! Thanks in advance!!!
