I ordered 60 "Georgia giant " quail eggs off ebay back in feb or march. I received an extra 30 because usps smashed the first shipment. The lady found it a good gesture to add the 30 even though she didn't have to. Now i hatched about 67 of the eggs or so . Now my ? is does a gg lay a bigger egg than a standard northern bobwhite. The eggs i received look like normal size but the quail i have grown now sure as hell don't look no bigger than wild quail i have hunted. Does anyone have a photo of a side to side comparison of a nb and a gg .

Remember you have to feed quail high protein diets to get them to grow. People often sell bad birds with claims of one thing with their birds. I don't purchase eggs from ebay because of that.

Lmao i'm 44 notnext 14 . I am currently raising red and yellow golden, lady amherst and raised ringneck pheasant. I also have mountain and california valley quail. So i am no newbie to raising birds . I feed startena then flight conditioner then maintenance all purina. No it is not the feed.

I doubt its the feed or even they are bad birds, likely they are great northern Bob whites and been open bred for a while, reverting back to the natural vs. Jumbo genes.

Is either of the Wadley Quail Farms in Ga the one who came up with Jumbos? Their stock may not have been breeded back to nature? Or any other suggestions for well bred Ga Giants that still are giant?
