We had a successful incubation with 100% hatch rate...5 years ago! We used a hovabator at that time, which has been sitting in our shed since then. I'm sure things have changed a lot! Any recommendations as to an easy good incubator for small hatches with kids?

I have a Janoel 12 incubator. I really like it, but I have no experience with other incubators. A lot of people seem to like the Brinsea Mini II Advance, it looks like a nice incubator too. Good luck in your search! @CluckNDoodle do you have any recommendations?

Your old Hova-Bator will work just fine, as long as it still works. If you can hatch in one of those you can hatch in most anything. I use my old styrofoams as hatchers and they work great. Good luck and have fun..

You could clean up the Hovabator and buy a couple of secondary thermometers to check and make sure it's still working! Replacement parts are usually quite reasonable and easy to change out in Hovabators as well.

As far as my favorite incubators, I love my Nurture Right 360s! They are reliable and they're great for hatching with kids because they can see everything! I also like my IncuView which also has a clear plastic lid for viewing. Of the styrofoam incubators I always recommend the Hovabator first so it's definitely worth cleaning your old one up if you don't want to invest in another incubator.

I like the Nurture Right 360. It has an amazing view space so kids can watch and a pretty powerful built in candler. The temp and humdity seems to run pretty close to spot on with them too. I think for over all viewing space that would make an amazing incubator for kids to partake in.
