have no idea what I am doing!

    Hello! I am totally new to owning chickens. My husband finally agreed to two laying hens, so I quickly jumped on it and bought what I hope are hen! They are 3 months old. One she said is an Amaricauna, the other one I am not sure what she is. She is grey and black striped, kind of like a zebra. We have been getting them used to being around us and picked up by us since I want the kids to not be scared of them. When they get bigger, i want them to be free range. right now they are in a coop, inside a closed in fence. Glad to have found this site! Any tips are welcome!

    Have you visited the Learning Center? It will provide answers to most of your questions. Regarding you chicks - without pictures, I have no idea what they are like. You can post photos at "what breed or gender is this." Please mention what their age is. I'm guessing you have an Easter Egger and maybe a Barred rock ,
