Sorry, but this is incorrect on both counts. You can't use either a silver based or barred male in a sex link cross, and you can't use a red/gold based hen in a red sex link cross, or a non-barred hen in a black sex link cross. That cockerel over those red hens will give half barred offspring, regardless of gender.

Second this.

X3 on that. Red Sex Links require a red gene rooster X a silver gene hen, and Black Sex Links require a barred hen.

I corrected myself on that one for the same reason. If both hen and roo are pure RIR and Barred Rock respectively, what I said would hold true but since there's a good chance one or other is a mix, it's unreliable.
