Well we started out with the idea or 4 but our first buy was 8. Then we added 9. Now the feed store, (not TSC) say if I buy a bag of feed (which I need) I can have 8 more hmmmmmmm. ....

i go and i look but don't touch i can honestly say i'm content with what i've got and what i've got on order they only chicks that i don't have that are on my list on a couple of japanese bantys but i can't find any around here if my hubby friend orders chicks i may have him order me a couple for me when he puts in his order

Hahah luckily when it comes to eggs we needed more chickens. Eight people in the house, plus an egg a day for four dogs. Figured I would take my chances when getting chickens. Got 25, 7 of them meaties. Went into TSC after the dentist one day...and come home with 6 Americuanas and 2 ducklings. Thankfully my dad finds the addiction humorous. So if we are lucky 12 of the Golden Laced Wyandottes will be pullets and the 6 Americuanas pullets. I think 2 of the GLW are roos, but perhaps more.

Went in TSC yesterday, so lucky they were sold out of chickens, might have had to get more, since I'll have an empty brooder soon....

We planned on 3 or 4, but dh's friend told him you usually end up loosing some (his free range ours will only free range with me right there to protect them) so we said 4, but then Beth G let me come meet her chicks and I decided on 6 hehe. Dh just goes okay sounds good more eggs. And said next year we should get 2 more. We aren't even getting our 6 till Saturday. Haha love that man.

My husband told me that he is going to pay my local store to post "sold" signs on all of the chicks when I walk in.

I'm so horrible...I find myself talking to myself trying to reason WHY I need to go to tsc. Hmm I need dog food. Meijer? Tsc? Tsc is farther away but they have better seection! Oh darn, cat pee smell. I need cleaner! Here I come tsc!

I wanted 6, came home with 8. Lost 2, ordered 25, went to get a bigger waterer, and brought home 16, and the new babies I ordered came Friday and they sent an extra, so I have managed to increase 6 to 48 in three weeks. But 3 of the first 6 are roos, and since they will be eaten, then I will have to replace those 3, and I'm sure there will be more, and who can honestly just get 3? Thank goodness we have enough coop space for 80 HAHAHA
