Hello all,
My dad and I got 24 chicks. We divided them up to raise, 12 at my house and 12 at my dads, since our brooder boxes were not large enough for all 24. They will all live in the coop and run we built at my dads house.

My question is, will this cause them to fight pretty bad? One soulution I've heard to do was to take a handfull and swap em out every couple of days to get the chicks used to each other.

What do you all think?

The younger they get together the better. I'm no expert, but some integration would be good. I don't know if you have to do it every week.

We just got hte chicks on sunday, so they will be indoors for a while yet, being in Colorado, it's a bit colder still. So we'll most likely switch them out for a week or so.

Thanks
