He's a fat old man who breaks into people's houses via their chimney, places presents under their tree, eats whatever cookies and milk are left out, and the leaves the same way he came.

Krampus is scary! He's this big goat thing that follows St. Nicholas around and whips naughty kids with birch branches. Sometimes he puts evil children into a sack or basket and carts them off to who knows where...

We put decorations up at the end of November. The tree went up last week.
