have you ever broken your finger??

I do think that you need to have it checked out, rather than try to fix it yourself..... things can go wrong, so best err on the safe side, even if you just go to your Dr for him/her to look at it, they could then splint it properly, you don't want to have any nerve damage etc.,

Good luck and

Nope never broke my finger. In fact I've never broken any bones(although I've come close to) and never had to go to the hospital except for like annual check ups and stuff...
Get it checked out rather than do it yourself. Better safe than sorry.

I hope your finger heals soon!

I've never had a broken bone but I broke a guy's finger once.
(Here's a tip::NEVER poke a guy in the chest and say "What are you gonna do about it".....{*snap*}

)

Anyway, Go to the DR. just to make sure you don't have any "perminant" damage, then they will tape them together for a few weeks.

I used to have an attitude problem.....now I cook.

I broke my ring finger, multiple fractures ( horse thought I could fly) . They had to set it and I wore a cast for almost 8 weeks then therapy. Not sure they will or can do much if it's the tip of your finger. Mine was between the hand and first knuckle.
hope it gets better soon

I broke the last joint on my ring finger many years ago. I was young and had no insurance so I ignored it. It healed deformed looking. Later, a doctor told me they would not have treated it anyway as it was the last joint and considered a cosmetic problem. The joint moves very little but has never bothered me.

I broke my toe once. It was the little one on the outside- I was running by my couch and kicked the corner a little... the corner went in between my toes, I heard it snap. I just iced it and duct taped it (love that stuff) to my other toe. Fingers get splints and then taped to the next one.

Never broken a finger but had a pinky toe stepped on by a frantic young mare. I was wearing steel toe boots but still broke it.

Wore bandaids and wrapped the pinky toe with its companion for two months. Not bad but still hurts now and then if I had it jammed again.

I broke my thumb when I was 10 from it getting slammed in a car door. (OUCH!!!!) Didn't do anything to it, but it healed a bit crooked.
