Haven't tried crowing yet but I copy the long high whines that he makes, he gives me a 'what the heck are you doing' kind of look. I've always wondered why he makes this noise, the girls ignore most all of his utterances.

At my Dad's suggestion around 50 years ago with a White Leghorn rooster that I called Satan and all it got me was being flogged worse than usual.

Very true for ole Satan who had been an adorable Easter chick. I think the green dye that he was colored with did something to him and marked him for life.

Fun thing about bantams is that if they give you any guff, you can put them under your arm like a football and assert your dominance that way..the same probably can’t be said for a leghorn however lol..

I've got an EE cockerel who hasn't crowed yet and so I've crowed at him to encourage it and he acts pretty scared of me
