Have you ever wondered.....**THEY CAME BACK**

You know, I've never been a "duck person" - but these ducks are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Glad you were able to snap some pics!

OK, according to that site, Meghan they are basically NOT a migratory bird - help me figure out how to make them stay....OMG, I am having visions of them laying in my coop and everything now....!

Feed them? Find a hollow tree type home for them? It says they are weary birds so try not to move too fast towards them mayby. I'm not really sure since it says they are weary birds what the best way to get them to stick around is. Letting them kno they will always have food and water is the only suggestion I have. Good luck!! (I'll let you know one the geese show up tomorrow too. I stopped by the post office today and told them to call me no matter how early it was. They are exspecting chicks tomorrow too.)

You are so right! When I saw the toenails in one of the original photos, I thought that's gotta be a tree duck. (But the one I found was shore nesting.)

So I think Nutmeggie is right! What a handsome duck!

Well, I just hope they come back....DH is talking of building a nest box like we had for our mandarins then mounting it on a pole amongst the tree that's close to that duck pool......

thanks for sharing they are gorgeous. I would keep that 40,000 year old pool filled and keep some feed out for them. You are one lucky duck!
