Have you Incubated for others?

I’ve done it for family and friends. There’s nothing different about it than incubating for myself. When the chicks hatch they either pick them up from me or I deliver them.

I've had my farmer neighbors not set up to incubate hand me duck eggs and quail eggs, neither of which I raise, but I incubated them for them. They of course came and picked them up. I don't charge them as they were their eggs and my incubators were already running.

When I hatch my show-quality silkie eggs, those I take pictures of in the brooder and post in a couple of poultry groups for my state on Facebook. I've also done that on Craigslist a time or two. I usually have a small word-of-mouth list I contact first though.

I sort of did this today. My hatching eggs shipped 5 weeks later than expected, and we're flying out of town ON their hatch day. So I got a friend to incubator-sit for me, and I set some extra eggs for her in with mine.
