Have you looked at the moon tonight?

We went out to eat tonight and it was awesome as my Son would say. The play of light on the sky mixed with some dark clouds and the horizon of mountains. Now we have cloud so I am so glad I saw it earlier. Actually at 5 this morning when I got up I thought I had left a light on it was so bright. The whole yard down to the stream was illuminated. Pretty cool. I wish I has shown the kids before they went to sleep.
I think it's cool that we are all over, but can all still see the moon.

This is one thing my husband and I love....we may be far apart but we can watch the same moon together. Sometimes while talking on the phone. Tonight will be one of those nights.

My 3 yr old yelled at me to come quick that he could see the moon and that it was "AWESOME"!

We turned off the lights and let the kids run through the shadows from the blinds...

It was really cool...they loved it. I'm sure it looked even better through their eyes...

Living in the country, being darker the view is awesome. This reminds me of a night years ago not long after moving to the country. There was supposed to be an awesome shooting star show that night. The best view was to be around three in the morning. Of course it was below freezing. I had the bright idea to set up lawn chairs in the back pasture, set the alarm and go watch this thing. So here we go in the freezing cold in the middle of the night to lay down in these chairs to watch the show. Shoot we saw one shooting star, decided it was cold and headed for the house. lol

Snakeman just reminded me it was around 20 degrees that night!

I know what you mean! lol I don't do the cold. I have never done the cold. Why this idea sounded good during the daytime I will never figure out. Snakeman still brings it up from time to time. lol
He likes to rub it in what I had us doing.
