Have you purchased premier issue of chickens mag yet??

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Very interesting , with lots of great articles...!!! and lots of good chicken pics. This mag is put out by Hobby Farms magazine. I guess it will be published 4 times a year. The premier issue is Spring 2010. What are some other great chicken mags to subscribe to?? I get Backyard Poultry. You can find some interesting online articles from the Chickens mag by going to www.chickensmagazine.com One of the interesting articles was about reading about 19th century poultry keeping. You can go here
www.chroniclingamerica.loc.gov which is the library of congress and search the articles for poultry and come with lots of interesting reading about chicken keeping.

The best place to go for lots of free poultry keeping books that are now in the public domain is googlebooks.com I have already saved several that I want to download. I went to the library of congress site but couldn't figure out how to read the articles. All I could get to come up was the newspaper, the year it was published and what libraries might have it to view on film. If anyone figures it out please let me know.

Can you subscribe to just the "Chicken" magazine of Hobby Farms? When I click on "subscribe" it actually shows Hobby Farms & I am not sure what I'm subscribing to. I don't want "Hobby Farms" as I found that too yuppish in years past. Thanks.

I looked thru the issue and could not find anywhere to subscribe. I think its only going to be put out 4 times a year. I'm guessing you just have to pick it up at the store. My memory,,, I will be lucky if I get anymore.
