Have you used Pine Tar? If so, please read and advise. Please.. :}

I have a some hens being pecked at.... Plenty of room and food so I was thinking of Pine Tar. Have you used Pine Tar? It is very sticky and I was worried about it getting on the other hens and traping dirt all in it. How long does it stay on the hen?
 
Pine tar works fine. If you're sure you've got plenty of room, you might want to look at what you're feeding your birds. Is it a food with animal protein in it? Or all plant proteins. Sometimes chickens peck at each other when they need animal protein.

I don't think it's what mine are eating, it's the Polish problem. Poor things are doomed to have friar tuck hair forever until I can get them their own coop to sleep in!
