It’s 4x4. I have about 36 sq ft of run not that they ever stay there. But my chickens get my whole 1000 something square feet of backyard. Is this Suitable I’m having it built in a few weeks.I can request different sizing of course.

You would probably want some more space in there, more like 5x5 or 6x5. Even if they are outside most of the time, it will get too crowded when they come inside to roost. Run is also a bit small, you probably want about twice that for 20 chickens. It looks like a very nice coop though-lots of ventilation, easy nesting box access, and the paint job is great! Good luck with your coop!

YES! on the excellent ventilation, though you may need more roof overhang to keep the rain from blowing in during storms. It's great to see a coop design with that sort of excellent airflow.

However, 4'x4' is only big enough for 4 chickens. You need twice that space for 7. :) Also, 10 square feet of run per chicken.

Can you increase your footprint to a 4'x8" coop and an 8'x10' run? Ranging in the yard is a good bonus, but you need to plan for the times they will be shut up in the coop and run because of bad weather, predator threat, etc.

Also, where are you located? You can put your general location into your profile and people in similar climate zone can give more targeted advice.

Double the foot print...add 12" roof overhangs.
Might want to make it tall enough to walk into too.

Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!
